After more than ten years of continuous research and practice, we have successfully established flexible and diverse cooperative education models between several public & private institutions of higher learning in China and Vancouver Island University & North Island College. The Canada-International Short-Term Study Program was created in collaboration with the School District Education Bureau of Vancouver Island, BC, to provide a one-month simulated study life experience for those who wish to study in North America. Every morning, the parents of the host family will drive the students to the school and they can communicate with the local children with zero distance. Those children who come from different countries take classes together, play together, complete the teamwork together and participate in extracurricular activities together. For those Chinese students, they experience the most authentic foreign study experience which expands their horizon. After that, they return to the host family in the evening, the parents of the host family will review the school life with the children, accompany the children to watch the local TV programs, and play a variety of board games that local children love... During this period, our children will gain a wealth of interesting scientific knowledge, improve their hands-on abilities, and make friends of the same age with different cultural backgrounds. Most importantly, during these four weeks, the children will be completely immersed in the authentic North American English learning environment, and they will use the Canadian way of thinking to think and solve problems. No matter where the children are positioned in the future, this journey will be one of the most precious memories of their lives.

Our Canada-International exchange program is designed to give primary and secondary students both in China and Canada the opportunity to understand, experience and explore the different historical backgrounds, political status and social differences in each other's countries. Canadian students and Chinese students will form a group of exchanges to experience foreigner school’s activities both inside and outside the classroom, and enjoy the life with their host family members. Moreover, This project will help students to establish an international thinking mode from an early age, expand their horizons, broaden their thinking, and lay a solid foundation for their successful future.
